please god I hope one of you can help me! we just bought an 03 matrix, and it threw a code, ain't that a bitch? anyway, it either needs new o2 sensors, or possibly a cat! the cat for this car goes for about 1100..... I need to know if any of you know someone who works for toyota that could get me their employee discount on the parts I'll need!!! please let me know!

forget that, why dont you just buy a aftermarket high flow cat..... you'll save quite a bit of money..... unless you've got that cash.... DONT GO OEM on the CAT

yeah, u can jus buy a complete catback exhaust system for way less than that.

but if u do need someone at Toyota, i think Brian works there? i don't really know him, but he drives that primed kitted 86. one of the guys should have his info.

did u purchase extended warranty with the car? anyway u might have a bad o2 i had this problem before were i get a cel light ob2 scanner reads bad o2 or cat but it was the censor.

I've talked to Brian for him. Travis needs to talk to the dealer he bought the car at.

Tho after I heard the full story on the car, I say that it is the O2 Sensor cause the car had been sitting for months on the lot with out any driving.

did u try reseting the code with a obd2 scanner?

It just came back on an hour later.

u should take the cat off and see if its clog and clean off the o2 with a wire brush and then see if the cel light come back on.
