you know how most of these local proformance shops dont really carry anything for us. well what do you think they should carry on hand. all day everyday.??

coilovers. springs. strut bars, sway bars, POLY BUSHINGS, mufflers, headers, intake.

well most of them have these...but 90% of the time, it's for hondas or nissans...

can't blame them, the 240sx is the civic of the RWD world. that's where the money is at. If i was shop, i'd carry an ass load of shits for civics/integras and 240sx.

basic, wear and tear, tune up parts.
stuff that you'd find at global. but at decent prices.
like good upgrades for stock parts. gaskets, a good selection of brake pads, stuff like that.

also stuff for common engine swaps. and maybe some uncommon ones, haha.

it'd be nice to have an import version of Summit.

i can't count how many times i was giving the wrong size belt, or the wrong gasket.

summit does have an import section. although as far as maintenance parts go, i prefer using factory parts because i've never ran high power engines.

one of the problems around here is to have a local import shop be supported locally

most people that tune their cars around here either steal their parts, buy cheap (used/stolen/etc) or online. the local shops just don't have the quality and value the hardcore die hard tuners want.

not to mention the ppl that do have the skrillz to buy things at the shops are fanboys and only wants to lower their cars, rims, exhaust, and a broadway mirror...

you see the reason that i ask.. is that i'm planning to get back into the proformance shop scene.. but to tell you the truth i'm better off getting a yard... na wa i mean? i keeps it realz.

man i post a big o brain fart earlier. but it disapeared. well i'mma try it again. anywho i'mma keep it short this time... we're working on bringing a proformance shop back up at the current shop. my goals are simple. slowly build up the storefront. i wanna make it more of a hobbie. cuzz the warehouse is already making money w/out the proformance shop. so our consumer's base will be towards the more knowledgible ppl. and instead of turning down newbies, we will try to mentor and advise, and we will not tolarate noobs * ignorant newbies* yes .. i will turn down a ignorant fanboy. for we will base our pro/shop as a motor swap type basis. and will not install a nos kit in a hummer for a kid just so he can peel out for a couple of bucks. * i will not sell my soul" and will not swap motors just for anybody. but our store will carry the usual parts for honda, 240 turners, but the present of older model carparts will be known. we will carrie some interchangible parts for your ae86, z's and what not. yes most of them will be out of pnp. and i'm not gonna charge an arm and a leg for those parts. 10 percent mark up from pnp at most.. which i consider a pretty good deal from searching, pulling, and buying.. hench the key word.. SEARCHING. our goal would be pretty much to put better racers on the street. i dont really have to enough time to sit in the store 5 days a week so we'll see how it goes.. well the ball is already rolling... pic's yay.
