HI,its me stickerboy new on 209forums and new with the autocross world;anyone planning to hit the mts or hills;let me know im down to go anywhere.I feel that i need some practice and also like to hit the slops and have some fun.

let us watch you at the autox, since my tolerance for being able to gauge driving capabilities on drives has been wearing thin as of lately.

oh, btw, i have a "new" route that i need scouted. my car is down tho Sad tranny issues.

It's good to see driving abilities in a safe and fixed setting, such as autocross, but just remember that driving in the mts. is different.

i usually practice on my daily drives, whether its in the city or hwy. of course i don't do anything stupid that would attract attention, i just get a familiarity with the driving feel of my setups and techniques (which i'll admit have been quite rusty......)

AutoX would be your best place to practice. You'll be able to experience the limits of your car and your ability to control it in a closed environment away from traffic. Even at low speeds (25-45mph) you will get positive or negative feedback from your car depending on your driving actions.

ask the more experienced drivers at the events too to ride with you and give you some pointers, usually helps. and push your car and driving to the limit once you get a lil used to it, hella fun

Yeah, in a way it's best to start out doing the wrong things first to find out what your car's limit will accept in terms of your driving. It's all just trial & error, and the process is continuous. Imo this is the best part about being a driving enthusiast because I never get tired of learning behind the wheel.

if you ride, then you know the line.
that's already 50% there, so once you see the inivisbile lines that only us drivers do, then everything else is about control.

yes,i agree with everyones opinions on tring out autoX first;it just that autoX is 2-weeks away and me and my boys has nothing to do lately.we like to travel and try new things;going places and meeting new people is how we started.
im very SORRY for being hard headed.i do have Fear in my eyes;i had seen 7 of my friends crash in the mts,with in the years i was riding.
if hitting the mts/hills is a bad idea, i will never speak of it again.
