Re: carbon fiber
now why would you wanna "wrap" your hood in the stuff? why not take your hood off and put a carbon fiber peice in its place?

Re: carbon fiber
I think what you mean if you wanna go that route is to just wrap your hood in a carbon fiber vinyl. I wouldn't recommend using actual carbon fiber sheets to do it, only if you're making a hood or other parts.

Re: carbon fiber
so let me get this straight...
u want to wrap your hood...with actual carbon fiber and not a vinyl with a carbon fiber design?
if u really want to wrap your hood in REAL carbon fiber, dont. just save up and buy the actual CF hood....your gonna waste time and money and have shitty(maybe nto shitty, but not as good a professionally done quality) quality...of course, this is my guess coz u asked about it, you probably don't know much about CF or have that much experience regarding the work that will go into it?
BUt if you are really determined to rice ur shit ... get 3M's Di-NOC CA-421 carbon fiber film...That'st he closest thing you can get to CF with out having CF. it's about 20$ sq/ft but if you buy more, it can get cheaper...Since you just want fashion, it should work.
good luck. Do a project thread.
oh yeah, you dont' need to use clear coat but it would help with the durability.

Re: carbon fiber
save up and get a cf hood. if u wrap it its just throwing away your money, no purpose just to look good and wont last long. if u do it wrong the whole sheet will seprate form the metal and your fucked.
