i need help.

i got another 89 240 shell. i put in a single back in for now. everything is hooked up, tryed to turn on and only got a click. i ended up buying a new duralast golld battery, still i only get a click. so i looked at my wiring by my ecu and noticed a little clip that wasnt hooked. it goes behind this big white object which is behind/above the glove comparment. want to know if anyone knows what the white object is? thanx

if it just clicks check your starter and your ground..somthing around those lines.

you get it started? if not, have someone tap on the starter with an extension, or something, or GENTLY with a small hammer while you turn the key. if it kicks over, get a new starter and check the teeth on the flywheel.

ill push u down a steep hill .........i got it to start thanx to D. turnd out to be the starter and the harness that goes hooks up to the fuse box was fucked up.
