Re: ride fixed gear??
there are ups and downs to everything including bikes. and honestly fixed gears are cool and i can definitly respect ppl on fixed gears. i wouldn't do it myself, you can say i'm more realistic. i mean why wouldn't you want to coast?. that's like having a motorcycle with no nautral. but man one of my co-worker have a fix and he can outride me anyday. ( we do 30+ miles and so )
having a road bike riding in the city is a pain in the ass.. due to down shifting and upshifting. but is great for long distances .. having a fixed/single speed is great for city riding, but horrible on long distance rides.
i myself have a single speed freewheel. " my over sized bmx " but i do have a set of generic fixed wheel for sale. 700x.25 holla if any one needs a set.

Re: ride fixed gear??
we should all get together and do a ride no where far. just stockton>>lodi and back. we can stop at that farm for food refreshments and what not. keep the pace at around 12-14 mph we should all be gravy.

I use this one for short trips here n there...
I use this one for long hauls...usually for trips to Galt n back.
If you guys are down... me and my friends are planning to do a Sac trip in the summer...

Re: ride fixed gear??
Yes free stuff if good, but I have no plans to go down a mountain. Trails around the area yea, but funds to tight to make extra trips that cost.
