Hello, and a proposal

What's up guys. My name is Phia. I met some of you guys from the Apexnetwork bbq. I'm the owner of the red Evo on the front page, first pic. Richard and I originally started Running-Free.

I've been away for awhile, and now have spawned a sister site in the bay area known as the Evil Genius Club. I'd like to link Apexnetwork, 209forums, and EvilGenuisClub together as sister sites, while maintaining our own individual sites. The site addy is http://egcauto.freesmfhosting.com/index.php

Evil Genius will cover the bay area, manily 415 and 510 areas. We have 5 members! Yes, count it again, that's 5! and growing. We'll be 10 in a month. And hopefully we grow to be large enough to rival Apexnetwork and 209forums.

My vision is to have a hug collaborative bbq with the three sites. Let me know what your thoughts are on this (ADMINS) and we car rule norcal together! MUAHAHAHAHA!

but i have a question.. it's cool how we have all these forums n all, but we are basically all the same type of forum. we're non car specific and all we talk about really is general car stuff and driving, sometimes we get specific.

The only thing that really separates each forum is region, but we all post about the same things.

maybe we ( 209forums,apexnetwork,CCDN,EGC) should unite and make one biggest awesome-es NORCAL forum.

Naw, I think the different regions and creativity are cool. The Apexnetwork guys have their local spots and regulars that they hang out with, and their own admin/mods. So does 209forums. I respect that, and just want to link the sites, not completely mash them together.

interesting concept though lrock. it would be a massive swap over. and then again. having our own regions are pretty cool, cuzz that way we're not flooded with a whole bunch of meets, events, and talk that just dont really apply to anyone else besides for that reason, and that does alienate ppl. so0o i think the best way to go is to get us more familiar with each other so it would be more comfy to converse on such a big playing field. you dig?

on the other hand it does sucks to have to jump into about 2-3 forums everytime we decided to have a massive meet... a link would be cool.. everything is up to the moders.

I have no problem with all the 3 forums all linked with links on the front pages. Dom can set it up anytime he wants (I leave the front page all to him, I don't do anything on it. I just work on all the internal stuff)...

i'm not too sure about linking all 3 forums. it would make the individual events more confusing to organize. the 209 and 916 forums are still separate, yet we manage to organize big meets with little trouble. it would be best to leave things as is, and post big meets between the forums. that way we're not swamped and harder to moderate individuals.

also a good idea to see as a potential evolution of the community,
but we're not exactly 1 community yet.
if by chance, we continue to have inter-community relationships,
and there's enough cross-posting and stuff, where 1 mega forum is warranted, then i can see that happening,

but right now, we're still just a group of guys who uses the interweb to bs on and to organize stuff when we're too lazy to call each other.

its a future to look at.

I'd rock stickers for all three forums on my Evo, and call it the "Norcal collaboration for domination"

sounds like a plan, I do agree to keep the sites seperated, but links to all of them would be good.

i like the idea, but it is going to take a lot of work to get near what you would propose. baby steps and maybe we can for a Norcal Forum Committee and work on the forums together...

for now APEXnetwork send me a 150px × 90px banner and i'll place you on the209forums...... we will also come up with a mini banner (let me know what size) for your forums....
