510 performance?
I'm starting to think more about my 510 project, and I'm having trouble finding sites that sell peformance parts for them. I'm looking for some places that really specialize in oldschool datsun's, can anyone throw some sites my way?

Re: 510 performance?
well, not yet. In our current living situation I can't bring it here, but as soon as we get out of here and into a different house I'm gonna have it. HOPEFULLY by the end of January (yeah, long time but I want to do research and have plans ready for when I get it. I've got an L20, a z 5 speed, z wheels and a couple other things. The car is not literally mine, I'm putting it together for someone, then taking ownership, so I don't know a lot about it or what parts it comes with, been sitting in a garage for YEARS. as for what I want to do with it... auto x style, but not backbreaking on long (4 hour) drives, and enough power to suprise people, but not 300 wheel horse. (staying N/A)

Re: 510 performance?
easiest thing to do is got 280zx front struts w/ coilovers and 250 lb springs. Automatic BBK with the 280zx brake system. Run a subaru lsd (r160) or you can swap in a r180, or even an r200 diff u want it to hold to 500 hp
run a 280zx dual resevior brake master cylinder and if you want power brakes, a b210 brake booster behind the 280zx brake master cylinder
wu has a ka24de engine for sale if you want some power

Re: 510 performance?
everything from the 280 bolts in with no mods? I knew thats some stuff worked, but thats awesome. I was thinking about the r160 lsd, but what did the r180 and r200 come in? I was thinking of a different engine swap, but I want to run the L20. oh, and what year 280z parts will work?

Re: 510 performance?
1978 to 1983 280zx front strut casings with brakes, will bolt in but the spring perch isnt compatible w- the stock 510 spring, that why most people convert them to coilovers. Will need camber plates to offset the camber you lose since the spindle angle is different on the 280zx by 2 degrees

Re: 510 performance?
can I just use the 280z springs since I'm changing the strut anyway? are the stock halfshafts going to work with any of those diffs?
