i think this is a scam lol

i got this email for a craigslist ad for my wheels seems a little weird to me...lol

I'll like to buy this item, pls do me a favor of taking down the ad from CL so as to be rest assured that I'm in hold of the item, anyways I don't have time to come have a look cause of my Job transfer and shortness of time but you don't need to bother yourself with the shipment, I'll take care of that by engaging the services of a mover, hence I'll be sending a check and it will be delivered via United Parcel Service, so I'll need you to provide me with the following information to facilitate the mailing of the check.

1.Your full name
2.Your mailing address be it residential or office address
3.Your cellphone number.
4.Final Price

I'll have my mover come over for the pick up as soon as you have cashed the check.
N.B UPS does not deliver to a P.O box addresses.. Have a wonderful day.

hahahaahaha.. i replyd to one of those it was more like. the check have to be pink pokidots and make that payable to chris chringle the address is 101 north pole ave. and the movers have to be elephants or no deal. thanks. hahaha

Don't do it. Working in the banking industry you'll se a lot of these scams.

We had a case where a big company (which shall remain nameless) in Stockton where there account number was compromised. The individual who got a hold of their information were buying items/rental properties through Craigslist using a check sent via UPS. In fact they were sending extra funds. For example... An individual who received payment for a piece of furniture she was selling on Craigslist. Her item was for $100.00 but the payment she received was for $800.00. The buyer in "good nature" sent extra for shipping and convinience and just want another check for the remainder amount.

The scam went as far as New Jersey and hit as close to home as Tracy.

So just keep this in mind... When it's too good to be true... It usually is.

99% of the time the checks are fake, they still get past the deposit process so it shows you received the funds, But it will get back to you in a week or two that the checks are fake and your now stuck paying that money back...

That's why you should always call to verify funds if you are depositing a check from a buyer.

yes the item is still good and available but i regret to em form you
that i dont speak any english. so u must email me again, but in

I've had 15 paypal accounts locked so far... LOL.. not any fault of mine... they just like to keep your money.... once they locked it for a year with around $2000 in it... I was pissed... I learned from that though use paypal BUT never keep your money in it.... withdraw immediately..
