events are out there!

I was reading an article in Automobile Mag today about Tanner Foust, and it got me thinking about rally and drift events. I know there are events held all the time, (not necessarily WRC, or Formula D) and I want to know about them. Anyone have a source or know about these small time events, possibly even things open for general public competition speak up, I know they are out there!! I'm getting antsy to see some, or participate in some racing!

I dont know but the drift day and nor cal drift sites might a good place.. may be driftfun.com, or drift live, or Drifting.com good places for drifting events. not sure about the other stuff.

Rally = Prairie City

a lot of the higher end of the grass roots spectrum requires a race license.
and there's events constantly.
there's more than 5 types of spec series locally.
there's driving schools, HPD events,

Thunderhill is OWNED by the San Francisco Chapter of the SCCA, which the Sacramento chapter (us) belongs to.

there's even an kart track over at the san joaquin fairgrounds, and its an annual membership fee.
