damn VATS...ruining our fun

Vehicle Anti-Theft System

was not included in the original wiring instructions,
and was an overlooked system of function.

will test again in the morning

what happened today was installation of the stock fc automatic shifter, and adapting it to the b&m shifter cable on the tranny.
and lots of test starting.
after realizing that the MAP sensor fell out of its plug, and plugging in the oil pressure sensor and the coolant temp sensor, (was originally told they're not needed on the ecu, but they are)
did some tests, and the engine starts, then dies. spark is ok, fuel pressure is good, but the injectors would fire for a half second, then die.
the ecu was cutting off the fuel.
originally thought that the ecu wasn't controlling the injectors properly since there was no clear reason as to why it would do a fuel cut off,

then around 9 or so, realized that the ecu has an integrated VATS, and that was killing the fuel.

so yea, i disabled VATS on the ecu, and gonna try it again 1 more time.

all i need left now is to connect the brake booster vaccum source, and to get a throttle cable.
then i can drive to all american muffler and get the exhaust on it.

doh, forgot to buy bolts for the torque converter, therefore, i forgot to put them in,
thus, no matter how i shifted, the car won't move.

3 bolts.

kn filter came in, will install when i get the car back from the muffler shop

All American called me up just now, exhaust will be finished tomorrow morning, just gotta mount and weld the mufflers.
i'll be making an appearance at sambo's shop tomorrow afternoon!
with rolls of electrical tape, haha
