movies that scared you

i've been arken for a scary movie to watch..
any suggestions?

Honestly..the last movie that really scared me shitless was The Ring...

After that..most movies were just nothing but gorefilled or not enough "boo" effect and were predictable.

i justed watched the american version of one missed call.. and it's pretty good..

The Ring scared me half to death too, it's the only movie I've ever lost sleep over... kinda embarrassing really...

I agree... The Ring scared me too... i couldnt sleep for a week!!! LOL....

i watched the original ring in korea... japanese with korean subtitles. my roommate translated for me. that was scary

it wasn't as scary as The Ring...

there's a spanish horror/drama/tragedy called the orphanage.. not very scary * but it is scary * great story ..

I really want to see The Orphanage, I love Guillermo Del Toro's work. Is Ringu really not as scary as The Ring? I've always been tempted to watch it but the The Ring was so genuinely frightening to me I resisted the temptation so far.

i feel the other way around.... maybe it's because i had no idea what was going on... and one of the korean guys thought it'd be funny to call me in the middle of watching the movie

we should rent a whole bunch of scary movies and watch it at someone's house... i suggest my house.. tv's not so0o big . but my sound system is crazy.

i havent seen REC, it looked good. just saw one part and kinda got me. but later this year a movie call quarantine or something like that is suppose to come out which is just the remake of [REC]

^i agree... japanese are very imaginative. i think the us movies just carries the idea across much better. if they can combine japanese direction and plot with us video and sfx methods...

the jap version was really tellng a story more mystery then horror. minimum ghost apearence, on the other hand the u.s. made it so the ghost is scary, and a real killing horror, when the jap version made it clear that the ghost girl was trying to warn the girl of what kinda man she marryiing...

another good oriental ghost movie is 49 days, jackie chan's son is in it, from the director of initial D
