Re: ------>NEW GUY<----- And I got a 07 STi
wo0oho0o boxster motor rocks what exactly are you planing to do to your motor? for thunder hill i would imagine suspension work. then practice practice practice. but first of all take the car as is first then work on it slowly for example, if you feel body roll then upgrade your struts and some sway bars. if you get understeer/oversteer then you modify accordingly.
my advice is just drive your car.. leave your motor alone cuzz it's fast as fuck already. ( dont fix if it aint broke ) and just pick on the little things that get's in your way as you learn how to drive your car. if you need help your in the right spot. i'm not a professional with boxters motors but i'm pretty handy with a tool set. if you need help just let me know.
btw welcome to the forums.

i dont drive an eclipse that was from one of our snooze cruises from last year i was actual in a crx that day. i've worked on almost everything with a motor, havnt had to modify or repair a impreza motor yet, but i believe it's the same as all internal combustion. i've wrenched on pretty much a majority of the member/older members cars on the forums. i'm currently redoing a chevy ls1 into a rx7 again ATM. i drive a 99 civic si, and finishing up my 86 corolla i use to drive a 87 supra turbo. and a 95 supra as well.

Welcome to the forum, i'm new/old to the forum as well, i was on here a while back but since i was inactive they removed me from the list lol. Well, nice to see another guy from Sacramento area here, i also am a track junkie but i'm mainly doing autox/touge/mountain cuising right now. I'm in a carbon blue celica gts, so feel free to say hello if you see me. I've been around a lot of subies, especially older gc's 2.5rs, but only been in one another sti, maybe i can get a ride . You did good, what types of sways did you order? Adjustables are your friend and your after market support is incredible, so your going to love that car. Well, hopefully i'll see you out there at the track or at a meet.

Re: ------>NEW GUY<----- And I got a 07 STi
Well ok,.... heres a problem i had the schedule now i can find all of them but the mather feild one! i dont know what the deal is but theres no event listings...... go on there and see what you can find, either way we should do somthing i really want to get my new car on the autox tho and get a feel for it. I got alot to do so my list is pretty open for whatever i still need to get Licy at thunder hill. i have wensdays off so if your up for some bracket racing ill go tommarow on wens but you got to let me know fast. My members in davis club want to take me for my 1st run for autox somewhere but i yet have all the details on it ill try to get em and see where u stand on that incase you want to come too either way should be alot of fun! Infact we our so close together and i got the hook up and alot of yards and shops you should just swing by my place and have a few beers that way if you ever need anything youl know where im at and i can refer you to some shops in future if ever needed. Pluss i would really like to take a peek at ur ride man! well like i said my options our pretty open and truthfully im getting tired of davis club there all kinda well serouse and want to take out the new guy it seems... Ive tryed to do events with them but i can easly see them being egoistic and not alot of help or fun, ofcourse the exception of few i know there. Alot of them our very heavenly exp and run the 24 hour lemons at thunderhill, either way i need a group to get me back off my butt to go race agian now that i have another good car. Play time is over im gonna pick up the dam pavment now! LOL

Re: ------>NEW GUY<----- And I got a 07 STi
ya insurance for it is a killer.... but FANTASTIC car. not to fast and 1st gear acts up a bit becouse of the 4 wheel drive and traction but if u get over that your handling is awsome! Acually incredible. I love it you can hug turns at faster smoother pace. if you drag race this might not be the car you want but perfect for track, when i drag race it i cant help but bog out 1st gear, even at very high rpms witch isnt good either.... Im still trying to get around that so if you know pls fill me in ^^.

Re: ------>NEW GUY<----- And I got a 07 STi
you sure becouse my clutch is grabbing fine the dif/ is just eating all the torqe im going to put on a dif/ brace but even then i thingk ill have the same problem till my horse power goes up. The problem is all four tires our wanting to spin fast at lounch but theres too much grip wants cluch is fully set the remaining power gets twisted up and lost in the dif/ making my car bog out majorly. Ive even burned the cluch before launching and it grabs LOL just dif sucks for launching i think? Im not 100% possitive though. So are you sure and have you experianced this problem before with the STi? pluss i want flex in cluch for road track. Any idieas? or you think i should still get tripple plate?
