Hello Everyone. I've been a car enthusiast for a LONG time and have gone through several cars from a 1957 Chevy to a 1991 300ZX (I'm sure the latter is closer to the interests of most on this site), to a 1929 Mercedes Kit Car. BUT!!! I have just purchased one of the most unique cars I know of, and would love to come to some meets and talk shop, and get more involved in a car enthusiast community. I've never joined a club before because my cars always seem to change.

My new ride? A 1974 Bricklin SV-1. Never heard of it? It was made in Canada for exclusive sale to the US in '74, '75, and '76. Less than 3000 were made. Ask me questions if you want to know more about it. The interior is great, mechanically good, body is straight, but needs some work.

John Delorean and Malcolm Bricklin do have histories that inter-twine, but as far as the cars go, the Bricklin is MUCH faster. Bricklin almost made Delorean the CEO of Bricklin Motors.

The movie dubbed the Delorean engine sound with a throaty V-8 sound (Deloreans came with a V-6), and they dubbed the sound of the doors opening with an air-shock sound. (Most Bricklins use powered air doors, the Delorean doesn't.).

Oh yeah, but the tail lights are out at the moment (one of those minor things), so unless I can get that fixed Friday, I won't make the Wing Stop meet. (No night driving.) I also have a leak in the air door system at the drivers side down solenoid. Should also be an easy fix, just gotta get the time to get on it. (Doesn't prevent me from driving it... I just have to get out quick before the door falls back down.) LOL.
