Re: Photographer's Thread
ha..it would have looked better if there was a hottie standing there instead of me!!!
also..
any advice on rolling shots??? these are just some of the ones that my friend and I took. we were going around 50..I wanted the background to blur some more but i dont think that would be possible unless we were going superfast.

Re: Photographer's Thread
nice photos lorth. try doing a slower speed on the car and set the camera to shutter-priority mode. start with 100 go from there. kinda hard to say also cuz it depends on the amount of light outside

also to blur the background a bit more,
largest zoom with a larger f/stop to maximize the focal length.
quick defocus tip from pashnit

Re: Photographer's Thread
Just need to keep the shutter open longer Lorth. Harder to nail a clean shot, but you will get that nice rolling shot.

Re: Photographer's Thread
no it doesn't matter what you use. if you keep the shutter too open though, it has the tendency to be more blurry.
i shot these at f/10-f/36 and shutter speed between 60-250. rolling shot shouldn't be any different

Re: Photographer's Thread
SLR's are known for the "super fancy settings" they're pretty simple to understand once you start to play with it. For 300 bucks you can get a canon rebel xt which is a pretty decent camera for first time users.
