here you go.. just for example i found this in like 1 minute. off of craigslist... you could probably get him to come down to like 1k.

Up for sale is my 1992 240sx fastback. The engine still turns on but
has an idle problem. The body is still in good shape. I was planning on
fixing it up and repainting it but I lost interest in the car. It has
never been into an accident and still has a clean title. If you have
any questions, feel free to ask me. Thank you for looking.

Extras:

Kouki Taillights (also have the original)
Cusco front and rear strut bars
B&M short shifter
Resonated Testpipe (also have the stock cat)
Walbro Fuel Pump
300zx Fuel Filter

240 is the popular one, but I still like the 5.0 mustang idea... less than 1k, to upwards of 3000, but DECENT ones all under 2k, just craigslist any rwd you can think of. 240's and 5.0's hella easy to work on, and parts are EVERYWHERE (mustangs are easier to find whole at pick n pull!!!)

If you do go check it out, do a simple compression test just in case~!

remember compression test is only good if you get the car running or crank it with a starter... the ka24 is a dime a dozen.. and if no one have tooken it yet,, i think naptime have the ka from the s14 for sale.. remember this is your car, take your time and fix her right,

and with the idling problem.. i only know what i read from the post.. but seems to be a simple problem.. if the car is blowing smoke then it might be a problem.. but if the car is just breathing, could be as simple as a vacuum line.

i say throw in 2 g's into the car and your solid..( 1g buy the car 1g, get her running beautiful ) and yes i will help annila---work on your car hahahahahah,, just holla.

1g to get a ka running beautiful? got damn, thats too much to get a ka running right. just get it running and you should be good, then if it blows on you, get another ka, like naptime's

doubt you'll even need a grand to fix that ka, but i think it's a cool deal. i understand if you're worried about it blowing on you and then not have a daily and have your parents on your ass cause your ish blew on you after only a month though. haha

it was hilarious when his hood riped apart... anywho...

1k = bought the car.
1k = get the car runnign beautiful
knowing that your car was built right and by your own hand or knowledge = priceless.

yeah and a simple idle problem i dont think you'll have to spend 1 k to get her right.. the 1k was overestimating the project. but if i was you and have some time and skrilz on my hand... i would change the timing belt, water pump. termastat. oil filter, oil, tranny fluid, dif, fluid. rad fluid, pretty much, i dont trust any old fluid of a old car...

and doing that is a lot easier and a better state of mind knowing that the engine isn't going to blow up within the next 3 months.

waiting for an engine to blow isn't the best feeling in the world.

carbon fiber hood are molded on to a fiberglass hood frame, ( majority do ) rolled over edges my friend are the best way to go. and i always suggest hood pins to all my customers that buy a c/f hood. and a couple of extra layers of clear to prolong the life of the reseign...
