Fwd awd/4wd Rwd Mr touge
Since the wingstop meet was closed lets discuss it here.

Imo it doesn't matter what drivetrain just how well you handle it. Different drivetrains call for different skills, so it just depends on your driving skill.

hahaha look who was driving the egg. yeah talking about drivers. a friend of mines once told me that the awd cars are very misleading, and give a false sense of security, all the way to the edge of control and it only takes a split second for you to lose and control and even roll over,,,, phoncopower lost control of his gsx and fliped over the other day..

i have driven those drivetrains and they each have a different feel for everyone of them(lol diff. skills). i agree^^ and i think it also depends on the comfort of wat your driving. im personally most comfy with FF cars on touge but thats just me.
..and this is wat inspires me lol

Re: Fwd awd/4wd Rwd Mr touge
emm.. i dunno where i stand on this.
id say if you can get ride of the understeer that FF has then you have yourself a setup.. but if your pretty skilled then FR has more possibilities.
cant forget about MR's either.

Re: Fwd awd/4wd Rwd Mr touge
The driver is, to me, the soul of the car. Simply said, if your car is parked outside while you're eating ramen noodles by your fireplace, then your car has no soul since you're not in it. Also, I see the driver has the most infinitely tunable car part of the whole package....and it's a bitch to tune just right.
I have experience in the 3 drivetrains. I chose FR because to me it has a much higher limit of drivability. Also it's easier to lose control in so it teaches me more precise driving techniques.

Re: Fwd awd/4wd Rwd Mr touge
Yeah I remember that vid. I've actually pressured an EG in front of me on a touge before. He ended up entering a corner too hot and understeering, then he lost control and swung left, right, then left into the mountain wall just nipping his front bumper. Despite what happened his car was moving very well and he had good control of his setup.

Re: Fwd awd/4wd Rwd Mr touge
my personal preference is fr ( obviously) I have seen honda's with minor mods who can outcorner me, but v-tec isn't SHIT to a straight 6 after that corner is over! Personal preference and comfortability with your platform is what its all about in this game.

Re: Fwd awd/4wd Rwd Mr touge
i've gone on touges driving either fr or ff, what i remember was controlling understeer wasn't too difficult, but it takes a lilttle bit more skill to control oversteer.
but the touges that i've driven probably never passed 55, so maybe that was the reason why ff was easier

Re: Fwd awd/4wd Rwd Mr touge
i could say from expirience that ff cars could handle their own on any touge and would argue that the driver is who would be responsible for being able to drive his vehicle based on personal suspension settings tires etc. and overall capabilities of the car!

This is what happens when you push RWD to hard.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTZl9V17U4Y&feature=related
It's personal preferance, I've touge'd FF for about 5 years in my little Integra on Calaveras road in Fremont. I found it far easyer to take the corners in FF, Although a shop evo I used once was pretty smooth to. Although the back wasn't as planted as I had initially believed it would be.
I do find most FF drivers move on to RWD, MR or AWD after awhile. They like a challenge and keep ontop of the game. Personally i'm not a fan of drifting and prefer my car to stay planted in the turns rather then the back end sliding out behind me. But personally... I do prefer AWD over anything... My next toy will either be RWD or AWD.
Its all about the driver and the car's set up.
