smog exemption?? Empty smog exemption??

ok so ive heard rumors that they've changed the smog exemption year to include cars made in 76.. but i am not finding anything online about the law.. everything i see still says 76 and newer require smog.. wtf.. anybody know about this?

nope...the law is still the same.

nothing changed...heck, it's getting worse.

yea i figured.. im sure whoever said it was now 76 just saw the law saying "if your car is 76 or newer it will require smog certification" and just got confused.. oh well..

Does my vehicle qualify for a smog exemption?

Smog inspections are required unless your vehicle is:

Hybrid
Gasoline powered 1975 year model or older
Diesel powered manufactured prior to 1998 or with a Gross Vehicle Weight rating (GVWR) of more than 14,000 lbs
Electric
Natural gas powered with a GVWR rating of more than 14,000 lbs.
Motorcycle
Trailer
